And visited The Taj Mahal

It was special moonlit night

And stars galore in the sky

I was fortunate to be by your side

I remember

We both talked endlessly about so many different things

And this is where we decided that it is time we get married

Till date, that night holds a lot of significance

As I remember

When I went down on my knees

It took you by surprise

And then you saw the ring in my hand

It all happened in an instant

And I was simply caught in the moment

Everything else seized to happen

And you were also so overwhelmed

I remember

How I had to pacify

As which better place we would have unified

But standing here before the “one”

Which is the beauty adored by the world

And truly the epitome of love

Today, years gone by

With emotions still not died

Ask me for my life, if you will

As with your love is my every moment filled

Lend me your ear

And listen to the story of my heart

I whisper you the secret of my life

Where only you reside

And that is how I survive

Loving you is my soul’s only desire

Living with you, I have transpired
